The Biggest Bus

Here is a pretty awesome website of the cockpit of the A-380. Not that I ever want to fly one, but two cupholders would be quite awesome ;) Notice how their are 2 tillers, I can see the cock fights in the cockpit already ;)

Which one's the tiller? Non-pilot here, I know what the sidesticks are, but I have no idea what an airplane tiller would look like.

Great blog, I followed links from a couple other blogs here and read all your posts over the past couple days. There's something "grittier" about your posts compared to FL390 or some of the other pilot blogs. Some of it is just that freight seems to be a rougher business, I guess.

The state of the industry really sucks, I hope things work out for you. It's clear that you're passionate about what you do, but from what you've written (and other pilots), it's also clear that being a pilot is a pretty tenuous career right now.

Good luck!

Ward,
The tiller is what control's the nosewheel steering on the ground. That is how the pilots turn the aircraft. The tiller is the black half circle looking thing next to the sidestick. On most aircraft there is only 1 tiller on the Captains side, hence the smart ass comment.
